Required Degree/Certification: Bachelor Degree in early childhood education or related degree with
coursework equivalent to a major relating to early children education.
Salary: Grade 9
Summary:
Under the direction of the Child Development Program Director, the Professional Development
Manager (PDM) serves as an education leader for the onboarding and enhancement of adult
educational advancement. The PDM plans and collaborates with the leadership staff in the Child
Development Programs to ensure that a professional development plan is provided and completed for
all full-time Child Development Program employees and evaluates the impact on teacher and staff
effectiveness. This position is located at BRAD Central Office in Pocahontas AR.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Education Support the Child Development Manager in full implementation of all aspects of
the Child Development Programs early learning systems through professional development
opportunities
2. Human Resources & Supervision
– Participate in the hiring process through recruitment, selection, and hiring of potential
employees for Child Development Program
– Develop, conduct and monitor onboarding processes to include training of new hires using
various methods (in conjunction with Human Resources); develop, conduct, or arrange other
training as needed for staff, parents or volunteers.
3. Ongoing Monitoring, Record Keeping & Reporting Ensure complete and accurate information
of all required systems for data collection and reporting
4. Program Governance & Leadership Establish a focus for the Professional Development service
area and act to align the content area goals with the strategic direction and needs of the
program
5. Uphold the shared mission and values of BRAD Child Development Programs
