BRAD provides direct services based though a variety of programs based on eligibility in Clay, Lawrence, and Randolph counties in Northeast Arkansas.

Clay County

BRAD serves children six weeks to five years through Head Start and/or Early Head Start in Corning, Piggott, and Rector. Senior Citizens meals are served at the Senior Wellness Centers located in Corning and Piggott and homebound meals are delivered in Rector, Corning, and Piggott. BRAD Senior Housing is available in Corning, Piggott, and Rector. Energy Assistance and Weatherization services are provided throughout the county. City route transportation services are provided in Corning and county routes run as scheduled throughout the county. There is no low-income requirement for transportation services.

Lawrence County

BRAD serves children six weeks to five years through Head Start and/or Early Head Start in Walnut Ridge. Lawrence County Senior Citizens are served meals in the Senior Wellness Center in Walnut Ridge. Homebound meals are delivered in Walnut Ridge and Hoxie. BRAD Senior Housing is available in Black Rock, Hoxie, and Walnut Ridge. Energy Assistance and Weatherization services are provided throughout the county.  Citywide transportation is provided in Walnut Ridge and Hoxie and county routes run as scheduled throughout the county. There is no low-income requirement for transportation services.

Randolph County

BRAD‘s corporate headquarters is located in Pocahontas and is also home to a food pantry.  Services to children six weeks to five years are provided through Head Start and/or Early Head Start in Pocahontas. Randolph County Senior Citizens are served meals in the Senior Wellness Center in Pocahontas. Homebound meals are delivered in Pocahontas.  BRAD Group Home is available for persons qualified based on intellectual disability. Rental Assistance is available through the Tennant Based Rental Assistance Program and the HUD Section 8 Voucher Program. BRAD also manages an apartment complex at a Low Income Housing Tax Credit Property in Pocahontas.  Energy Assistance and Weatherization services are provided throughout the county.  Citywide transportation is provided in Pocahontas and county routes run as scheduled throughout the county. There is no low-income requirement for transportation services.

*Other service areas include Cleveland County where Early Head Start services are provided through a contracted partnership with the Cleveland County School District. Also through contractors weatherization services are provided in Baxter, Boone, Fulton, Independence, Izard, Marion, Newton, Searcy, Sharp, Stone, and Van Buren Counties.

Home Energy Assistance

The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program provides payments to qualified families’ and individuals’ utilities.

Food Bank

The agency’s FoodBank provides monthly emergency nutritional provisions to families and individuals experiencing a shortage of food in Randolph County.

Community & Family

Creating opportunities for family and individual self-sufficiency to bridge gaps in the needs of low-income families and individuals.

Home Weatherization

BRAD Weatherization is an Energy Efficiency program for the Arkansas Energy office and Department of Energy.

Senior Activites

BRAD operates 6 senior Wellness Centers in Clay, Lawrence, and Randolph counties. The Senior Wellness Centers are open 5 days per week.

Public Transportation

BRAD Public Transit currently operates five days a week in Corning, Pocahontas, Walnut Ridge, and Hoxie. Transit serves all ages ranging from children to senior citizens.

Child Development

BRAD Child Development Programs includes Head Start, Early Head Start, Arkansas Better Chance, State pre-k and after school care programs.

Community Services

We provide holistic client and family case management, community assessment and engagement, and agency reporting.
