The Community Services Block Grant Program (CSBG) team at BRAD Corporation has been busy assessing the needs of the agency’s clients and finding avenues of successful pathways to alleviate the barriers of poverty in our community. From April to July, the CSBG team has assisted three homeless families with obtaining safe and affordable housing, two of which obtained meaningful employment, while coaching the families toward self-sufficiency, and supporting their basic human needs in the endeavor to improve their children’s and their own lives. This collaborative effort is made possible by encompassing services the agency offers and addressing gaps in service that can be met by community involvement. Our agency acknowledges a growing homelessness problem. In order to face the issue, we are combining our programs’ strengths with the strengths of the human beings we have the honor to assist. Never give up!
